The FamilieSCN2A Foundation was founded in 2015 by parents of children diagnosed with rare forms of epilepsy and autism caused by a change in the SCN2A gene. It was established in Massachusetts and designated a tax-exempt public charity in the United States by the Internal Revenue Service under section 501(c)(3).
